Figs has played many roles in society, serving as food for training and as a medal for winners during the early Olympic games. In ancient times figs were given to warriors for strength, and prescribed as a remedy for many diseases. Through time figs have been connected with the power of enlightenment and cleaning, and represented the symbols of peace, conciliation and prosperity.

Dalmatian figs are hand picked and carefully selected from small farms along the coast and islands of Adriatic Sea. Dalmatian farmers use extensive methods of cultivation, without the use of pesticides and intense farming.
Picked figs are naturally dried on wooden platform in the sun, rather than industrially. With an average of 10 days in the drying process, Dalmatian dried figs do not lose their natural nutrients during this phase.

The fig spreads can be used traditionally as other fruit spreads, as a complement to cheeses and crackers, in combination with full fat dairy products, in combination with salty products, as a glaze for meats, in baking, and many other ways waiting to be discovered.
